The Hisense H8G is a very good and cheap TV that should please most people for any kind of use. It has a VA panel, so it is able to produce deep blacks when viewed in the dark, and has a full-matrix local attenuation function. Unfortunately, their viewing angles are poor and the accuracy of the image is quickly lost when viewed from one side. It has a decent reflection management and becomes bright enough to combat glare, and if you also want to play on it, it has a good response time and an incredibly low input delay. Although this TV can display a wide range of colors for HDR content, it doesn’t get bright enough in that mode to highlight. On the plus side, it built-in Android TV as an operating system, so you get a ton of apps available for download. Overall, it’s a nice upgrade to its predecessor, the Hisense H8F.

The Hisense H8G is ideal for video games. It has a good response time, a black frame insertion feature to help reduce movement blurring, and an incredibly low input delay in ‘Game’ mode. Its refresh rate is limited to 60 Hz and does not support any variable refresh frequency technology, but it is a great choice for darkroom games as it can produce deep blacks.
