Dealing with a lost phone can be a real nightmare, no matter what the circumstances. Imagine how long it takes until you go back to your old number, get a new phone, get a box for it and so on. It’s annoying, isn’t it? But still, losing does not mean being able to find anywhere, as there are some happy situations, so when you just missed it. In any case, the idea is that not being able to find at a specific time can be a real shock to many people.
However, there is no need to panic!
Using just a few simple tricks or accessories, you can find your phone lost in a few moments and stop fearing that someone is now reviewing your selfies that you took last night in the mirror while in the Club toilet. So, let’s start…
Call your lost phone!
It’s a little obvious, isn’t it? Well, that’s the easiest way to get the track from your phone, if you just switch it off. Ask someone to give you a quick call or use free services like WheresMyCellPhone.com or FREECALL.com, which allow you to dial a number from a computer.
Use Find my device/Find my IPhone
These are the basic things you can try, being available for any phone with Android or IOS. The principle behind them is exactly the same, but the way to use these features is a little different.
If you own an Android, simply Google ‘ Find my phone ‘ or see the website to find my device. If your lost phone is connected to Wi-Fi and you use the same Google account on it, you’ll find here a ringtone option that does exactly what it says. The phone will start ringing immediately, making it easier for you to find if it is somewhere around you and just put it on.
On the other hand, if it was stolen, you still have the opportunity to see where the thief is and finally call the police in order to try to recover it.
Using a Bluetooth Tracker
Recently, we’ve come across a lot of cool accessories, the Bluetooth Tracker are some of our favorites. Specially designed to help you find your things, they are great for smartphones as well. Take the TILE, for example, which is one of the best.
It is a small plastic square that can be connected to the keys or anywhere else, then pair it with the application, available in Google Play and App Store. Then, if you don’t place the phone, just press the button on the Tracker and it will immediately begin to play, even if it is silent.
If none of these methods work for you and you can not even find the phone on the map, it means it was stolen. Be sure to erase all the sensitive data on it remotely and call the police, leaving it to do the rest.
