How to hide likes on Instagram?

-

Most people have experienced that moment when you upload a post on Instagram that you think will explode, then revisit it and have only had a few likes. Now, you can hide how many likes a post has had, putting more emphasis on the content itself rather than how popular it is.

Instagram has been testing this for the past few months to see what users think of the change, and now you can change it in your feed.

“Soon, we give you the ability to hide the number of likes in all posts in your feed. You’ll also have the option to hide the number of likes on your posts, so that others can’t see how many likes your posts receive,” Instagram revealed in a blog post.

“That way, if you want, you can focus on the photos and videos shared, rather than how many likes the posts get.

“We tried to hide as accounts to see if it could depressurize people’s experience on Instagram. What we heard from people and experts was that not seeing how it counts was beneficial for some and annoying for others.”
