HP Print and Scan Doctor – freeware diagnostic scanner software

HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free diagnostic scanner software application stored with printer software and made available by Hewlett Packard for Windows.

Diagnose and repair printer and scanner problems with HP devices

HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free tool for Windows to help solve printing and scanning problems.

HP Print and Scan Doctor has a set of additional tools and features to help you troubleshoot your printer or find printer information.

Check supply levels and cartridge information
View printer information, such as serial number and warranty status

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
When you have opened HP Print and Scan Doctor, click Start, and then click Your Printer.
If the printer is not listed, turn it on and click Retry.
If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in the tool.
Depending on the issue, click Correct Print or Fix Scan.
The test results are displayed with icons:
A check mark indicates that the printer has passed.
A wrench indicates that an issue has been detected and resolved.
An exclamation mark indicates that a test failed and was omitted.
An X indicates that the printer has a problem. Follow the instructions to resolve the issue.
The HP Print and Scan Doctor link is installed on your desktop.
