You will get great power from this small amplifier
Kenwood’s eXcelon amplifier model X302-4 four-channel amplifier offers 50 watts RMS per channel, but still fits almost anywhere in your car. Switch this amplifier to 2-Channel bridge mode and you can power a pair of high-performance speakers or subs with 150 watts RMS each. In 3-channel mode, you can use the front channels of the amplifier to drive a pair of 50 watt speakers each and connect the rear channels to send 150 watts to a sub. This versatility pays off as the system evolves over time.

Class D technology ensures that Kenwood eXcelon X302-4 compact amplifier works cool and reliably. Compact Kenwood X302–4 divided the internal amplifier circuits-analog, digital and power supply — into separate, non-overlapping circuits to improve overall sound quality. The Kenwood X302-4 accepts input signals via RCA cables from an aftermarket receiver or through car speaker wiring, so it will work with almost any mobile audio system. If you use the speaker level inputs, the amplifier can detect the signal and turn on, so you will not need to run a separate remote start cable for the receiver or fuse box. Compared to the previous version x301-4, the signal to noise ratio at 1W is improved from 80dba to 85 dba. Considering that the new amplifier has the same RMS Watts, the SNR can be compared directly. The other improvement we noticed is that the maximum current draw has now been reduced from 25A to 20A. Two more examples of 1W SNR, Alpine s-A32F is 83dba, jl Audio rd400 / 4 at 84dba, both have a higher RMS rating. They might have better Snr than the Kenwood than 50W rms. Most budget 4 channels are much lower than this rating, but this increase is actually audible to someone we can’t tell. We hope that this information will help someone select an amplifier.
