The Dell Ultrasharp U3818DW is a good ultra-wide IPS monitor with decent image quality, low input delay and decent motion management. It’s an awesome monitor for office use, with lots of screen space and some fantastic multitasking features, including Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP), and the USB hub lets you use a keyboard and mouse with two computers. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work so well in a dark room, and there’s a significant excess that causes motion spots. It also doesn’t support HDR, which is amazing for a Dell Premium monitor.

Great monitor for use in the office. The monitor can display two inputs at the same time, ideal if you are teleworked and have a job and a personal computer on the same desktop. The support is easily adjustable in an ideal display position. It has very good viewing angles, which is very important with a screen of this size.
Good monitor for games. It has decent handling of movement, but excess can cause an obvious point in motion. It has an excellent low input delay regardless of input resolution. The large, high-resolution curved screen offers a more immersive gaming experience. Some players may be disappointed by the 60Hz upgrade frequency and lack of VRR support.
The Dell U3818DW is a awesome monitor for multimedia. It has decent motion management and a great response time, so there is little blurring of movement on fast-moving objects. It has great viewing angles, ideal for sharing the latest YouTube trends with some friends. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look so good in a dark room because of the mediocre contrast ratio, as blacks look gray in a dark room.
