One of Xiaomi’s most significant annual updates, the new Mi 9 is an incredible phone at an inexpensive price. It’s faster than Galaxy S10 and closer than ever in the spec, so it’s becoming more and more difficult to understand the huge price difference.
Xiaomi Mi 9 has several design modifications, including the fingerprint sensor on the standard screen, the super-fast wireless charging (and Wired), a larger display that occupies a greater proportion of the body, and a new triple-lens camera On the Rear, which includes a fantastic 48Mp lens.
The most obvious difference when you take Mi 9 is the screen, which is now bigger and higher than in Mi 8 and covers a larger surface, with a reduced chin and a significantly smaller notch. It relies on a fingerprint sensor on the display, previously seen only in Mi 8 Pro, and adds some customization options to the always-on screen.
Of course, this means that the previous sensor was removed from the back, but there are still more changes here with the LED Flash moved under the camera group and adding a third lens inside. The arrangement is tighter, but also higher, and protrudes more than before. When you see the specs, you’ll understand why, since new Xiaomi Mi9 has an incredible 48Mp lens.
Around the edges the new Xiaomi Mi 9 seems to be much brighter, with a very shiny metallic frame that is tighter on the edges with the curved glass in not only left and right, but also the top and bottom. The IR blaster has been reinstalled along the top edge of the phone, and on the left there is a new button to call the Google Assistant.
