Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus

The Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus makes it seemingly impossible and enhances a legend!

The best improves
With a number of improvements the Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus is still the best way to improve the sound of your hi-fi, AV system, PC, laptop and now, even headphones!

Massive improvements in the sound of your digital sources
The purpose behind DacMagic Plus is simple: to make your music better, whatever the digital source. Connect the Blu-ray, DVD or CD player via optical or coaxial connections (there are two) and enjoy better music quality that is better than the CD. Your computer’s USB connection supports 24-bit transfer for “better than CD quality.” So music files stored on your PC or laptop on the highest quality 24/192 can be transmitted, uncompressed, via the DacMagic Plus and improved by its DAC.Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus

Bluetooth, to work with your phone or tablet
The Plus model has the ability to be able to stream music from your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. With the optional BT100 audio receiver connected, simply connect via high-quality apt-X or standard Bluetooth and stream the stored or streaming melodies from the device to DacMagic and in its high fidelity.

Best-in-class specifications
The DacMagic Plus has the highest quality digital circuits possible at its price. The Twin Wolfson WM8740 DACs, implemented in dual differential mode, are complemented by a 24-bit/384 kHz Anagram Technologies AFT2 up-sampling circuit. Upstream sampling of conventional CDs “lengthens” the format to give the highest possible resolution and also helps standard 24-bit/192 kHz recordings with a faster sampling frequency for less jitter.

Sound?
Upstream sampling provides smoother, more relaxed sound quality with more detail. You’ll also notice greater depth and more natural quality without the “edge” that can plague digital music. You’ll hear all the details, including the strange cough, squeaky chair, and glitzy glitz. in short, it’s like being there for real!photo:Cambridge AudioCambridge Audio DacMagic Plus

More than one DAC
First of all, the DacMagic Plus comes with a dedicated headphone amplifier and volume control. More revealing, more dynamic and with less noise, the headphone output gives your cans a new lease of life. It also comes with a new digital pre-amplifier feature. In combination with volume control, you can now connect directly to active speakers or a power amplifier for shorter signal path and higher audio quality.

With more features than ever before, but the same performance, the DacMagic Plus is more than magical, it’s magic more!
