Many online companies start off with a limited budget of expenses and think they can’t pay for advertising. The good news is that now there are many more options to start online advertising than even a few years ago. Even better, there is no strong learning curve to be able to use them and get a good return on your investment.
Paid ads cost, but they are scalable, so when an effective ad is produced, you can increase your spending to show your ads even more, for more traffic and benefits.
PPC Networks
PPC means pay-per-click. As the name say, you only pay if someone clicks on your ad. There are two major PPC networks.
Google AdWords
This is the most well-known network. View ads on the results pages of your search engines and in a number of other sites. Some of the sites are owned by ordinary people who want to earn money from their website, so join the Google AdSense program. However, the system is not easy to use. It is so complete, there are online courses to teach you how to use the system.
Bing
Bing, from Microsoft, merged with Yahoo’s PPC ads several years ago in an effort to compete with Google. Even though you can’t get Bing traffic as much as you do from Google, Bing’s ad program tends to be less expensive and easier to use.
Social networks
There are a number of social media sites that you can use for online advertising like. Their advertising programs are very segmented and are easier to use than Google. Ads are more activated by matching your ads with the interest that people have indicated or displayed through their tastes and content they interact with.
Facebook ads offer a difficult rivalry of Google AdWords because their online advertising rates are cheaper, the system is much easier to use, and the traffic of the website can be much more highly segmented. You can get the same amount of traffic cents on the dollar as compared to Google once you learn the system quite simply. You must have a corporate Facebook page to run the ads. And all your ads will have to have an image.
Ads Marketplace
There are also advertising areas like Buysellads or Chitika, where you can connect to different sites that take advertisements. The goal here would be to find a substantial website that corresponds to the niche or industry in which you are working so you can get “qualified traffic,” i.e., the most likely people who are interested in what you have to sell.
