Speaker legends aren’t much bigger than Wharfedale Diamond 9.0.
The original high-fidelity speaker
It’s hard to believe the original Wharfedale Diamond spent its thirtieth birthday. All these decades ago, it was the Diamond speaker that proved, for the first time, that a small, low-budget speaker could get excellent sound. Since then there have been dozens of imitators, but diamonds remain one of the best available.
The wardrobe is not only compact, but also very solid. This combination gives Diamonds extremely accurate sound quality, as the cabinet does not flex or vibrate. Equally impressive are the speck units. A soft dome tweeter gives you the clarity and fluidity of sound you’d expect from a more expensive speaker, while the woofer cone uses carbon fiber fabric to provide extremely tense and sensitive bass.Surprisingly powerful
With a front door, these bass reflex speakers are more powerful than you would expect and could in no way be described as tinny. Above all, they may be small, but the sound is efficient, with excellent staging, realism and surprisingly powerful.
High fidelity connections
It’s not just the main aspects of design that Wharfedale is right about, it’s also the details. Suitable 4 mm banana sockets will accept a thick cable and offer the best type of connection. Threaded sockets on the back make it easy to secure the bracket.
Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 is designed for smaller rooms and offices. The truth is that these speakers are able to bring you some warm tones, but it’s not substantial enough for all music genres. Some un demanding music genres may seem a bit unbalanced and may lack a punch.
As for the basic music genres, videos and movies, this is where the speakers continue to surprise me compared to their real price. You can also attach yourself to an amplifier where you can raise your treble a bit. Once this is done, the Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 looks very sharp and clean.
Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 speakers are great for playing songs, games, watching movies and videos. The sound is gently clean, but the speakers aren’t the best if you’re looking for tons of bass.
If you’re looking for low-budget speakers, which work well in terms of listening to basic music, Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 speakers are a great choice for you.Photo:Wharfedale
