When it comes to power supplies, most people will focus on things like rated power, cable type and efficiency, which makes sense as they are extremely important. There is a fourth value that is rarely talked about because it has not changed much, the physical dimensions. A standard ATX power supply measures 150mm x 86mm with a depth of 150mm. depending on the manufacturer of the power supply, the depth measurement may change depending on the characteristics and power requirements.
For example, when power supplies started accepting modular cables, the power box would be made a little longer to accommodate the plugs. When the power capacity began to increase, the accepted standard grew from 150mm to 180mm and remained so for more than 10 years. For this reason, many people have forgotten that the physical size of their power supply is important when building a computer. In this review we will see a new Cooler Master Power Supply called V850 SFX Gold. The ” V ” series is very popular thanks to the modular design and affordable price, however this Cooler Master V850 Gold is different in that everything power has been packaged in an SFX form factor.
The V SFX Gold is Cooler Master’s debut entry into SFX power units. After much demand, CM finally produced a power supply that was specifically made to meet the needs of mini-ITX system builders. This unit delivers performance in excess of 550, 650, 750 and 850 watt levels. It offers an 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating, full modular wiring, a 92mm FDB fan, 16AWG high efficiency PCIe cables, 100% Japanese capacitors and a 10-year warranty. And with SFX-to-ATX support included, this unit is compatible with cases ranging from mini-ITX to E-ATX systems. To put it in perspective, the SFX form factor measures at 100mm x 125mm x 63.5 mm, making it one of the smallest power supplies you can buy and which is based on a widely accepted standard. Here we have three elements to provide some scale. The first is the V850 SFX Gold depicted on the front. Behind it you will find an old Corsair 850W ATX with the entire depth of 180mm along with a single 2.5″ SSD to provide some reference.

AMD has announced its new Ryzen 5000g processor series with integrated graphics. These processors were an upgrade on the previous generation of 4000g hardware using AMD’s latest Zen 3 cores along with Vega 8 integrated graphics. At the time those processors were only released for the pre-built systems market, with promises that retail versions would be available later in the year. AMD announces two Ryzen 5000g models for retail, which will hit the market worldwide on August 5.
AMD operates two lines of processors: those without integrated graphics, which are often aimed at higher-performance markets with a chiplet design, and those with integrated graphics that use more powerful versions of the equivalent mobile monolithic Silicon. We usually distinguish between the two by calling the former A CPU and the latter an APU, and AMD gives the latter easily identifiable product names because they all end up in a G, for graphics.

Names in parentheses are the official code names of each of the processors. Because these APUs use the same silicon as the equivalent mobile processors, these desktop parts have the same code name as the mobile variants.
Both 2000G and 3000g families were offered at retail, and the 3400g / 2400G were popular processors. On the contrary, we have never seen a formal retail launch of Ryzen 4000G. this product line was focused on the pre-designed market, especially for” professional”business use. AMD also stated at the launch that they would probably never be offered for retail. The only way to get them was to wait for the hardware to lose in the resale market or wait for some pre-designed vendors to order too many and sell them directly to end users. When the Ryzen 5000g family was formally announced, AMD was once again the pre-built market leader. What made that version different is that AMD also committed at the time to bring the line of processors to retail, so that end users could buy them on the shelves in the official packaging with a full warranty.
Of the six processors that were initially launched, two of them will go on sale on August 5. AMD claims a worldwide launch. The top processor coming to retail is the Ryzen 7 5700g, with eight cores and sixteen threads, with a suggested retail price of $359. This processor has a base frequency of 3.8 GHz, a single-core turbo frequency of 4.6 GHz and will allow full Vega 8 graphics at 2000 MHz.
The other processor is the Ryzen 5 5600g, with six cores and twelve threads, and a suggested retail price of.259. With a base frequency of 3.9 GHz and a single-core frequency of 4.4 GHz, this processor will allow 7 Vega integrated graphics computing units at 1900 MHz. Being based on mobile cores, these processors will only have 16 MB of L3 cache, which is half the CPU variants without integrated graphics. Ironically, usually a larger L3 cache helps integrated graphics, but as we are using the same silicon for mobile processors and APUs, some concessions are made, especially for the mobile side, which is the largest market for this Silicon. If we put next to the Ryzen 5 5600X, the CPU, with Ryzen 5 5600g, we see many similarities. Both have six cores and 12 wires, both run at 65W, and both have 24 PCIe lanes.
However, there are also a number of differences. The 5600X CPU has an extra + 200 MHz on the turbo frequency, while the 5600G APU has + 200 on the base frequency and also has built-in graphics. In addition to this,the CPU has PCIe 4.0 instead of PCIe 3.0 and the CPU has twice the cache.
The price difference puts the 5600x as more expensive from 4 40, but it’s probably still the processor of choice for those who want a fast discrete graphics card system. For this comparison, there is no basic frequency difference, but the turbo is higher on the 5800X. the APU still has the integrated graphics, but it is only PCIe 3.0 outside the processor and not PCIe 4.0 as CPU. We still have the cache difference.
So the question is which would you prefer to have-100-200MHz of extra CPU frequency, double the L3 and PCIe 4.0 cache, or would you rather have built-in graphics? At a price spread of $90, now suddenly became interesting.
The build quality of the Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB is good and quite similar to that of the Kinesis Freestyle Pro, but with slight improvements. The board has no flex and the keys are stable. The Keys also feel a bit ‘ more structured and do not feel too cheap. The cable is also stranded and feels durable. This keyboard is compatible with RGB SmartSet software. You can create up to nine Profiles with different keybind and lighting effects. The dashboard also has ‘tap-and-hold key actions’, which means that each key can support two different actions: one triggered by a quick tap and another by a press-and-hold action.
The Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB split mechanical gaming keyboard allows you to place them half the way you want. The card also comes with a nice, fluffy wrist rest, which can be detached. However, it does not have the incline settings included, but you can purchase a “lift Kit” separately. Kinesis Freestyle Edge is an excellent gaming keyboard. It features Cherry MX mechanical switches and RGB lighting. The board is solid and feels robust, and you can reprogram every key, including the nine dedicated macro keys.
The Kinesis Freestyle Edge is a great programming keyboard. It offers a great writing experience and is available in some Cherry MX switch variants. It has a backlight for if you need to work in a dark environment or late at night and its excellent ergonomics allows you to write comfortably during long sessions. Programmers should also enjoy the ability to reprogram each key, including the nine dedicated macro keys. The Kinesis Freestyle Edge is a great office keyboard thanks to its incredible ergonomics. You can divide the two halves in any way you want and put them at ease. It also has a convenient wrist rest for each half, but you need to purchase the tilt adjustments separately. On the plus side, writing about it is quite quiet for an open office, unless you choose to get the clicky MX Blue switches, which will be stronger. Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB is designed to be an ergonomic, split and mechanical gaming keyboard. It comes with Cherry MX switches, which you can choose between Red MX, Brown, Blue and Speed Silver, although we have tested the brown switches. The board is well built and is a small overall improvement over the very similar Kinesis Freestyle Pro. It also has RGB lighting and includes the palmrest on the two halves of the keyboard.
Despite its compact design, the keyboard takes up a fair amount of desk space due to its split layout, which can be adjusted to accommodate the user’s needs. However, the tradeoff is worth it, as the keyboard includes a plush wrist rest that is detachable but highly comfortable.
This keyboard is an excellent investment for serious gamers who are concerned about ergonomic support for their hands and wrists during long gaming sessions. While it comes at a price of $219 plus an optional lift kit, it offers the best-in-class ergonomics in its category, surpassing even the original Freestyle Edge model.
The configuration app for the Freestyle Edge RGB, called SmartSet, is driverless and requires manual activation through a gear-shaped button on the keyboard and the F8 key. Although it is a no-frills app, it is easy to use and allows for customization of keys, lighting, and macros. The keyboard can store up to nine profiles, which may be sufficient for most users, but not for those who require infinite per-game profiles system-wide.

Drop SHIFT is a perfect gaming keyboard. It has incredible latency for fast movements, and our unit’s Cherry MX Brown switches have a short pre-trip, although some other models have a much shorter one. This keyboard is remarkably well built and has a complete RGB backlight. However, it doesn’t have any dedicated software, and the customization options aren’t very easy to use.
Drop SHIFT keyboard is a great choice for programmers. It looks extraordinarily well built and offers an exceptional writing experience. Our unit’s Cherry MX Brown switches provide good tactile feedback and feel light to write, but they’re also available on a variety of other switches, if you prefer. Unfortunately, it lacks a sample rest for added comfort and doesn’t have any dedicated software, so customizing it can be a bit more complicated.Drop SHIFT keyboard is ideal for use in the office. This slightly compact model has a remarkable construction quality with stable keys that feel good to type. Our unit’s Cherry MX Brown switches provide pleasant tactile feedback while feeling light and responsive. They are also quiet enough to be used in a noise-sensitive environment. However, typing could cause fatigue over time, as this keyboard lacks a rest on the wrist and has a fairly high profile. Drop SHIFT feels extraordinarily well built and solid. Its body is completely aluminum without bend marks and the keys are pbt double shot with a nice structured finish. Most keys feel very stable, without staggering or shaking. However, the spacebar of our unit produces an ecoey sound when pressed. Also, while the magnetic feet are very holds, they do not fit perfectly into the grooves at the bottom, making them a little less stable overall. On the plus side, they’re not foldable, so you don’t have to worry about pushing down on the board as you type. Drop SHIFT is a compact, full-size keyboard, which means it has the same number of keys as a normal-sized model, but in a slightly more compact design. It still has a numeric keypad, arrows, and dedicated keys like Caps Lock, Numeric Lock, and Scroll Lock, but everything is much closer. This frees up desktop space, as this keyboard is much shorter and narrower than regular full-size options.Drop SHIFT keyboard has RGB backlight complete with individually lit keys. There is also an RGB strip that goes all over your body, which adds a nice touch. The white backlight looks good overall, although it tends to have a slight shade of magenta and you can see the reflection of blue light on the keys. You can scroll through many different color defaults with function keys, or customize them through the Drop website, and then view the settings you choose on the keyboard. However, this customization method is not easy to use, and the website is not considered dedicated software.
The USB-C cable can be plugged in on any side, reducing cable clutter. Should you need to move the Drop Shift, a detachable cable also makes it simpler. However, since it’s still a full-size keyboard, We wouldn’t necessarily advise that. The Shift boasts a ton of RGB lighting for a keyboard that isn’t intended for gaming. A wide ribbon of RGB light wraps around the base’s borders in addition to the complete per-key RGB illumination that shines up through the keycaps. The silver top plate and gray keys complement this appearance well. If a desktop light show isn’t your thing, you may use the setup web tool to disable the backlighting or set it to white. Drop SHIFT typing quality is very good. The double-stroke PBT keys have a good feel for them and a nice structured surface that is not subject to the brightness of the fingers. In addition, the keys are quite stable and our unit’s Cherry MX Brown switches offer good tactile feedback, while being lightweight for pressure. Although the board is slightly more compact than a full-size model, the design of its keys still looks standard enough and shouldn’t take time to get used to. That said, it could cause some fatigue over time, as it lacks rest on the wrist and has a fairly high profile. Also, while the spacebar feels good overall, it has a slight rattle and makes a strange sound when pressed. Photo: Drop Drop SHIFT is a wrong choice for use with a home theater PC. It’s just wiring, which means you have to run the cable from the couch to your PC, which isn’t ideal. A trackpad is also missing, so you need a mouse to navigate the UI. On the plus side, it has full RGB backlight for use in the dark.Drop SHIFT is a fairly adjustable keyboard that offers great features in slightly compact sizes. It is remarkably well built with an aluminum body and PBT two-shot caps and should be a great addition to any office set or configuration. It has a full RGB backlight and offers some additional features, such as keyboard shortcuts for media control and a USB switch. It also has excellent latency, ideal for fast games. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have any dedicated software, so the only way to really customize it is to encode your firmware or use the Drop keyboard configurator offered on your website.
